Scanning, Indexing, Archiving – Interfaces to most scanners and check transports on the market via a SCSI interface. Accepts operator input to set and control the scanning operation. Executes document count, re-scan, and automatic image quality assurance and control functions.

Document Image Improvement and Identification – Dramatically enhances the quality and utility of scanned and faxed images. Improves document handling storage, faxing, digital copying, and image compression. Automatically corrects skewed images; performs registration; removes random noise, dot-shaped regions and unwanted lines. Automatically identifies check from other documents.
Quick Capture
Document Character Recognition (OCR/ICR) – Processes images through our world class recognition, then outputs the best-available ASCII results. Reads the various character formats such as hand print numeric, hand print upper/ lowercase alpha, hand print alphanumeric, machine print multi-font, gray scale, check boxes, cursive script, and barcode (linear and 2-d) Supports various segmentation types, such as constrained, unconstrained, monospace, and check segmentation. Courtesy Amount Recognition/Legal Amount Recognition (CAR/LAR) – Recognized the checks courtesy and legal amounts, then combines the two results. Incorporates the world’s most judicious simultaneous CAR/LAR procedure on checks – a process that dramatically increases recognition rates from 50 percent with CAR only to greater than 80 percent with the CAR/LAR combination. Consistently yields labor savings of 70 percent and greater. Improves system cost-effectiveness, boosts productivity and speeds return on investment.

Document Key-From-Image and Rule Validation – Furnishes a flexible key editing and validation environment for correcting patron errors and errors made during OCR/ICR processing or post-processing. Displays both the original image and the recognized ASCII data to operators. Highlights fields and/or characters that have been flagged for manual data entry. Provides validation rules and help messages to assist operators in correcting data. Offers full-service data entry functions, including key-from-image and key-from-paper features. Provides key entry in three different modes: Character-Based, Field-Based and Full Context Page-Based.
Quick Balance
Check/Remittance Key From Image and Transaction Balancing – Allows operators to fix errors made during the CAR/LAR process. Displays those transactions that need to be balanced, i.e., when the debits and the credits for each transaction do not match.
Quick Retrieve
Database Query and Retrieve – Retrieves all images and data. Prints results in report form or prints directly to the fax port. Automatically generates an E-mail of the data and associated image(s). Available in two modes: thin client server with data retrieval over the internet from any browser, and thick client server with data retrieval over the LAN or WAN. Handles 128-bit encryption to ensure secure transactions over the internet.
